About Atheer

A journey built on meaning, not noise

From the outset, Atheer recognised communication and content as strategic pillars in building institutions, influence and public trust. Founded in 1999 in the Sultanate of Oman, the Group made its defining shift in 2013: from a technical presence to a value-driven platform — one that speaks from within, not from above; analyses rather than rushes.

Today, the Group operates through specialised entities aligned under a unified vision, delivering end-to-end solutions that move beyond headlines to context, and beyond content to lasting impact.

Atheer Institute Trains the Next Generation of Media-Savvy Content Creators

Atheer Training Institute, part of Atheer Group, has wrapped up its "Media Skills for Kids" course, a programme that introduces young people to broadcast presenting and digital content creation through an interactive, hands-on environment modelled on a real newsroom. The aim goes beyond technique: the course sets out to raise a generation that understands what media responsibility and ethical digital publishing actually mean. Over four days, participants learned by doing. They presented in front of the camera, spoke before an audience, filmed with their phones, and produced their own digital content, while dedicated sessions worked on confidence, delivery, and on-screen presence. The curriculum walked participants through the essentials of television and media work, from the different styles of presenting to the roles that make up a production team. Training covered voice, diction, body language, and public speaking, then moved into mobile journalism and content creation, including filming, lighting, recording video and audio, editing on the phone, and putting AI tools to work in production. Ethics ran through the programme as a central thread. Sessions tackled fact-checking, respect for privacy, and cyberbullying, and grounded participants in the safe, responsible use of social media, skills this age group needs as digital life accelerates around them. The course closed with the participants' own work on display: mini news bulletins, short on-camera interviews, and original digital content, presented in a final showcase attended by parents. For Atheer, the programme is both an investment in emerging talent and a reflection of its commitment to social responsibility.
